Children & COVID-19 Vaccines

Our practice, Pediatric Partners, along with the American Academy of Pediatrics urge all adults and teenagers (16 years old and above) receive the COVID-19 vaccine as soon as possible. The vaccine is safe and effective in preventing COVID-19. There are essentially no medical contraindications except for upcoming surgery with anesthesia, current febrile illness or history of anaphylactic reaction to a previous vaccine. The first two only are temporary delays and the third one of course should be discussed directly with your pediatricians to consider alternatives.
Our providers strongly promote that all children should be vaccinated, once age specific FDA approval is obtained.  Such wide spread vaccination will help get our kids back to school  and protect our entire community.

As a pediatrician, well experienced in administering vaccines and personally witnessing the impact vaccines have in preventing infectious often deadly disease; I am ready, our practice is ready and able to help in this effort to bring this pandemic to an end. Pediatric Partners anticipates that in the very near future our offices will setting up clinics to administer the COVID-19 vaccine to our patients, their families and their care givers.

While we wait for children become eligible for vaccination, please continue encouraging them to wear a facial mask covering  the nose and mouth, practice good social distancing and hand washings.

Please always feel free to call our office with any questions at (561) 741-0000
